My name is Gabrielle Julia Robbins. I’m a motivational speaker.
I went to Susquehanna University, and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Speech Communications. At SU I was the president of Womenspeak, our on-campus feminist activism group, as well as the promotions director and deejay of two shows at our radio station, WQSU. I volunteered with the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute for seven years; holding multiple different leadership positions, and leading small and large groups of high school students in workshops, icebreakers, and activities to help them to face community and school problems, as well as personal ones.
I also worked with the Huntington Learning Center corporation as a Program Coordinator, focusing on students preparing for the SAT/ACT tests, ASVAB tests for armed services, GED and Regents exams. I feel uniquely privileged to have helped students through this trying part of their lives, because it's helped me to understand the types of pressures and misconceptions about their own worth that teens face daily.
Now I live in Brooklyn, and am available to travel for speaking engagements to almost anywhere given enough notice! I'm excited to hear from you, and to start talking with your school, club, or organization about living purposefully and actively working on becoming more uniquely and completely ourselves, every day.
